This week a neural echo canceller showed up in Chrome without a single announcement. We had a nice crop of 101 posts as well - oh - and a mind boggling demo by Tavus.

Google Chrome downloads a new neural AEC while you are not looking (webrtcHacks)
Chrome quietly downloaded a 425 KB neural model into your browser profile and handed it part of AEC3’s job: estimating how much echo is left after the linear filter. It runs on every getUserMedia audio call. Philipp Hancke ran a comparison of it against good ol’ AEC3. The TL;DR? It is awesome incarnate. Available in Chrome only. No Chromium. No Edge. No Safari. No Firefox. No libWebRTC on your mobile device.
